Each designation was earned only after passing a series of national examinations. In addition to his career as insurance agent and broker, Bill has been an instructor for continuing education classes for other agents.

Bill is a member of the San Diego Chapter of CPCU. He is also a member of the San Diego Fordham club, where he is a past president. He is also the past president of the Central Arizona CPCU chapter and a former National Committeeman for CPCU.
